Confident eater 009

It wouldn't be a fruit salad at a drive-in restaurant in New Jersey unless it came with a maraschino cherry. This little beauty was my contribution to yesterday's lunch bill at the Circus Drive-In in Wall, New Jersey -- and you know what? On a 94° day, it pretty much hit the spot.

(Mr. Nervous got a fine-looking cheeseburger, which you should feel free to gawk at here and here. He also had a kind of bonkers hot-fudge sundae that, let's face it, we wouldn't kick out of bed for eating crackers.)

  1. I've been pretty nervous about maraschino cherries since the red dye #4 scare of the 70's.
